SALTIEST LICORICE IN THE WORLD - SVENSKJÄVLAR!

I am a first generation Dutch-American --- I was raised on salty licorice and I have raised my son (14) on salty licorice. We pride ourselves on our love for salty licorice the way spice fanatics enjoy hot peppers.

I will say, this is hands down the saltiest thing I have ever tasted and it's not even close. The beauty of it is, though, that after the outer salty layer dissolves, you are left with a delicious (still pretty salty) salmiak filled licorice tube so it starts off super intense but quickly mellows out to a very enjoyable bite both in flavor and texture.

Not something you will grab a handful of and munch on for a while most likely, but great for the occasional shock to the ol' system. Also fun to have friends try, but that's usually kind of a waste. Overall if you want the saltiest licorice but well made with a nice finish, this is a great choice.
