SURSTRÖMMING CHALLENGE SET - ULTRA

I ordered this and it came in maybe a week after ordering-Very quick response time from Sweden to Indiana. My husband and I watched a few videos about how to properly open and eat the surstromming. It went great. We had the flat bread, fingerling potatoes, sour cream, onions, and even grabbed a bottle of akvavit to go along with it. Was it smelly? Oh yes-indescribably so! Did it taste terrible? No-not really. Thankfully, we live in the country so the smell didn't have any impact on anyone except us and maybe the wildlife. While I probably won't choose to eat this again, we enjoyed the experience because it's fun to try new foods and things! If you like liquorice, this is a great set. You get the REALLY salty kind and the Violet one which is incredible! Totally worth a try if you are the curious sort.

Did not disappoint! Package arrived quickly to the US. The fish definitely lived up to its stinky reputation, but was actually also quite tasty when prepared in the traditional way! A single can was the perfect amount to share for our group of 6. And the salmiak candy was a nice bonus, a flavor adventure in its own right.
